Dove of Peace Brooch

Every February, I create a Dove of Peace brooch.

This one is different.

This dove was created in one single piece for the 4th anniversary of the War in Ukraine. It carries more than beads and feathers — it carries my heart.

I am from Russia. Since the war began, there has not been a single day when I have not read the news, hoping and praying for peace. Every morning I wake up with one simple wish — that this war ends. My heart is with the people of Ukraine. Always.

This brooch turned out special, even for me. When I finished it, I felt something I cannot fully explain — it looks almost unreal. Light, fragile, but strong at the same time.

Hand-embroidered with shimmering crystals, delicate sequins, and layered white and soft grey feathers, this Dove spreads its wings in protection and hope. It is created in one complete piece, symbolizing unity and wholeness.
